How many Playrooms achievements are there?

Playrooms achievements cover ball deliveries, collectible hunts, upgrades, and color sorting, but the captured Steam listing reveals only part of the full set. Knowing which requirements are documented helps you organize your search and avoid spending hours on an assumed unlock condition. This Playrooms achievements guide covers the 12 visible entries, explains the 18 hidden slots, and separates developer clarification from community reports.

The reviewed Steam achievement listing accounts for 30 achievements: 12 visible and 18 hidden. None of those 18 hidden entries has a verified name or requirement in the reviewed material, so a complete secret-achievement walkthrough remains unconfirmed.

This guide reflects the reviewed evidence as of November 6, 2026. It covers Playrooms by Two Pixels UG, the Windows Steam full release, app 5037510, released November 4, 2026. Official Playrooms Steam listing.

The most useful distinction is between an achievement’s displayed requirement and a confirmed method for earning it. Most visible entries explain their objective clearly. Model employee is an exception: its description refers to meeting requirements and satisfying the supervisor without identifying the actual conditions.

Visible achievement requirements

The visible Playrooms achievements provide a checklist for deliveries, exploration, upgrades, collectibles, and Hardcore completion. The following requirements are paraphrased from the Steam achievement listing; achievement names retain their displayed spelling.

Achievement Listed objective
First sparrow Rescue one sparrow.
Hooray Finish filling your first ball pit.
10.000 reasons to quit Deliver 10,000 units.
And they keep coming Deliver 100,000 units.
Mighty Hand Reach the maximum level for every hand skill.
Door Operator Discover all rooms.
Model employee Satisfy unspecified requirements without supervisor objections.
Fully equipped Reach the maximum for every available upgrade.
Eagle Eye Find every item intended for your office.
Colour is a distraction Fill one ball pit using only one color.
All the chirps Find every sparrow.
No re-hires needed Finish Hardcore mode.

Delivery-based Playrooms achievements specifically refer to delivered units. Picking balls up is part of the process, but the listed targets are 10,000 and 100,000 deliveries. The sources do not establish whether those counters carry between separate playthroughs.

The official game description connects ball collection with several other objectives: balls serve as currency, equipment becomes affordable as you collect more, filled pits unlock abilities, and keys open additional areas. That makes ordinary collection relevant to several achievement categories at once.

Keep Mighty Hand and Fully equipped separate on your checklist. The first names hand skills specifically; the second covers every possible upgrade. The available evidence does not provide a complete upgrade tree, total cost, or optimal purchase order.

Likewise, Door Operator asks for every room, but the listing does not define how room discovery is tracked. The collectible areas below help organize a search; they do not establish the full room-discovery requirement.

For Model employee, the visible wording is too vague to support a precise unlock method. There is no verified basis here for assigning it a delivery quota, particular ending, or specific collection requirement.

Sparrow and office item checklists

Two Playrooms achievements require complete collectible searches: All the chirps for sparrows and Eagle Eye for office items. Community reports document 20 sparrows and 14 findable office items across seven named areas.

These totals come from community guides. Steam confirms the achievements’ objectives but does not specify collectible counts in the reviewed descriptions.

Sparrows by area

The community Sparrow Locations guide originally described 19 discoveries and credits a commenter with finding the twentieth. Its numbered entries produce this area checklist:

Area Guide entry numbers Reported sparrows
Playroom 1–4 4
Waiting Area 5–6 2
Backroom 7–9 3
Poolroom 10–11 2
School 12–13 2
Hotel 14–17 4
Office 18–20 3
Total 1–20 20

Treat these numbers as the community guide’s labels, not a required collection order. First sparrow covers your first rescue, while All the chirps requires the complete set.

One useful location note places sparrow #4 above ball pit #6 in the Playroom. The guide author suspects that filling the pit is necessary to reach it. The location is a community report; the proposed prerequisite is explicitly uncertain.

Community reports also say Hotel rooms move around. The original sparrow-guide images show doors 116, 202, 005, and 137, with a bird on a desk in each room. Those observed room identities are more useful than a remembered corridor position; the pictures do not establish a permanent route across later updates.

Office items by area

The community Item Locations guide names all 14 reported items. Use the area grouping to identify what remains on your Eagle Eye checklist.

Area Reported office items Count
Playroom Toy Block 1
Waiting Area Bookshelf; Gramophone 2
Backroom Coffee Table; Three Seat Couch 2
Poolroom Telescope; Armchair 2
School Wall Clock; Copper Icosahedron 2
Hotel Television; Abstract Sculpture 2
Office Feeding Bowl; Desk Plant; Tall Plant 3
Total All listed items 14

The Backroom couch has a useful travel note. According to player experience in the guide, the round trip takes about three minutes with maximum stamina and the coffee boost. That is a reported journey estimate, not a universal timer or an achievement requirement.

The item guide says Hotel rooms change position each day and refers to pictured room numbers for its two items. Those numbers are unavailable in the reviewed text, so the table establishes their area without inventing door locations.

Community reports also describe music playback from the Gramophone and multiple Television channels after placement in the office. Neither source establishes using those functions as a condition for Eagle Eye.

Colour is a distraction: requirement and bug reports

Among the Playrooms achievements, Colour is a distraction has the clearest developer clarification: only one ball pit needs to contain a single color. Other pits do not need matching colors or any particular sorting pattern.

That distinction matters when you accidentally collect an unwanted ball. In the reviewed discussion, developer Two Pixels UG explains that they deposited balls into another pit until the unwanted color had left their carried collection.

The developer’s method supports this approach:

  • Reserve one pit for the color you are collecting.
  • Use another pit for unwanted colors.
  • If you pick up a wrong-colored ball, direct deposits into the other pit until it is out.

This advice addresses an unwanted ball you are still carrying. It does not establish a way to remove an incorrect ball after depositing it into the intended single-color pit.

Is the color achievement fixed?

The reviewed thread contains both successful unlock reports and a later complaint. The evidence should be read in that order without turning either side into a guarantee.

Evidence What was reported What it establishes
Developer reply, November 4 Two Pixels UG said the issue was fixed and personally tested. A developer-confirmed fix claim at that time.
Player replies, November 4–5 Players reported successfully earning the achievement. Successful unlocks were possible for those players.
Later community reply A player described mixed colors appearing after resuming a Hardcore playthrough and depositing a reportedly yellow-only collection. An unresolved player report involving a resumed run.

The later complaint does not establish the cause or prove that every attempt fails. Equally, the developer’s earlier confirmation does not resolve that later report. The supported conclusion is that the developer announced a fix and players confirmed unlocks, while a subsequent report described a continuing problem. Developer clarification and player reports on color sorting.

Another player suggested dying or quitting to undo a mistake, based on their understanding of saving and daily progress. That suggestion is not developer-confirmed in the reviewed discussion. It should not be treated as a dependable recovery method, especially when planning a Hardcore attempt.

Planning your Playrooms achievements run

A practical plan can follow the documented objectives without assuming an unverified completion route. Ordinary ball collection supports delivery milestones, equipment purchases, and access to additional areas; collectible checklists help track the separate searches.

Use these priorities to organize the work:

  • Track deliveries: keep the 10,000-unit and 100,000-unit objectives in view as you return balls.
  • Record collectibles by area: compare your discoveries with the reported sparrow and office item totals.
  • Distinguish upgrade goals: hand skills have their own achievement, while Fully equipped has broader wording.
  • Protect the color attempt: follow the developer’s separate-pit method when carrying unwanted colors.
  • Account for Hardcore: No re-hires needed explicitly requires completing that mode.

The official description warns that lights begin going out when the shift ends and emphasizes staying in illuminated areas. That makes travel time relevant when considering distant collectible searches, including the community-reported Backroom couch trip.

Hardcore’s exact completion conditions, save behavior, and relationship to other achievements are not detailed in the reviewed evidence. There is also no verified minimum number of playthroughs, missable-achievement list, or reliable total completion time.

Keep Model employee and the 18 hidden entries marked as unresolved requirements. A checklist of documented objectives is useful, but it cannot support a claim that this is a verified 100% route.

FAQ

Can all Playrooms achievements be earned in one playthrough?

The reviewed sources do not confirm a one-playthrough route. They establish 30 achievements, including 18 hidden entries and a visible Hardcore completion achievement, but do not explain every requirement or how progress carries between runs.

How many sparrows and office items are there?

Community reports list 20 sparrows and 14 office items. All the chirps requires every sparrow, and Eagle Eye requires every office item. The area tables above summarize the reported distribution without claiming exact positions for every collectible.

Does every ball pit need one color?

No. Developer Two Pixels UG clarified that one single-color pit is sufficient for Colour is a distraction. Other pits can receive unwanted colors. The reviewed developer reply does not confirm a recovery method after a wrong color has entered the target pit.

What unlocks Model employee?

Its exact trigger is unconfirmed in the reviewed material. Steam’s visible description refers to fulfilled requirements and a satisfied supervisor, but provides no actionable checklist. Assigning it a specific quota, ending, or set of tasks would go beyond the available evidence.
